We are Coventry and District Model Aero Club (“the club”). Our website address is: https://coventry.bmfa.club. Data Protection Compliance is the responsibility of the Club Secretary who can be contacted using the Contact Us form. By becoming a member of the club or contacting the club using the online forms, you are agreeing to be bound by this notice.
Information we collect
We obtain information about you when you apply to become a member or when you complete and submit an online form. This might include your name, address, email address, telephone number, gender, BMFA membership details, IP address and any other information provided using the online forms.
How is your information used
We collect your information to enable the club to provide membership and web-based services and to provide direct electronic communications with you.
How long we retain your information
Your information will be retained while you are a member. For lapsed members, your information will be kept for a period of up to five years, after which your information will be deleted. Non-members information provided using the online forms will be retained for up to one year so that we can recognise and follow-up your enquiries.
Who has access to your information
The information you provide is for internal club use only and will not be shared with any third parties unless we are required to do so by law. By joining the club, you give consent for your personal information to be shared with the BMFA to enable provision of BMFA membership services.
What rights you have over your information
If you have provided information to us, you can request to receive a copy of this information, provided that the information has not already been deleted in accordance with our retention policy. You can also request that we rectify, erase or restrict processing of any personal information we hold about you. Note that a request for data erasure for a current member would require that member to forfeit membership as the data is required for the club to provide membership services.
